Frequently asked questions (Cinema)
Do I need to provide anything?
You will need to supply the film or whatever you are planning to show on the screen and we will supply all the equipment to get the show up and running. So other than bringing your own comfy chairs or bean bags, the only other thing you will need is guests.
Do you guys set everything up?
Yes. We place and blow up the screen, set up the projector, speakers and other equipment. We will not leave until you are confident that when the event is set to start, you will be good to go.
How much space do we require?
We recommend that you leave at least a 5m x 5m wide area for the inflatable screens (around half that for the stretch screens). This area should be in a place that leaves the most space for viewers to sit and enjoy. You'll also need to make sure that in this area there are no obstacles like trees or wires that may impede the position of the screen or speakers.
Can we setup the cinema indoors or undercover?
Yes you can. The screens have been viewed in large sheds, barns, carports and even verandahs. It's ideal that if you hire the eqipment for an outdoor screening, you have a contingency to move the equipment to an indoor space if the weather takes a turn for the worse.
What happens if the weather is nasty?
We always recommend that you have a backup indoor spot (if possible) in case of rain or strong winds. If the weather forecast does not look great and you feel like you need to postpone the event to another night, please let us know within 72 hours of the hire.
What time can the viewing start?
If your screening is outside, you have to wait until around 15-20 minutes after sunset. Prior to this it will be too bright to see anything on the screen. Sunset as you know changes as the seasons do, so check online for the local sunset times.
How long is the hire for?
You can have it overnight if needed and we can collect the equipment the following day. However if you want and if it's possible, we may be able to collect the equipment that night after the event has concluded. We can discuss these options prior to the day of the event.
